Traditional Khmer Dance Program

The Traditional Khmer Dance Program preserves and celebrates the rich artistic traditions of Cambodia through instruction in classical and folk dance. Taught at the Khmer Buddhist Temple, students learn foundational dance techniques, graceful hand gestures, storytelling, cultural significance, performance etiquette, and traditional choreography passed down through generations. The program provides youth with opportunities to connect with their heritage, build confidence, develop discipline, and serve as cultural ambassadors through community performances and cultural events. By teaching both the art and meaning behind the movements, the program helps ensure that Cambodian dance traditions remain vibrant for future generations.
