A BIT ABOUT US
Our Beginnings...
Founded by two immigrants, Kaovny Jonas and Kim Lam, CLP was established in April 2025 to address the urgent need for cultural preservation, education, and community support within Cambodian and broader Asian American
communities.
The Cambodian Legacy Project (CLP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, North Carolina as grassroots program. It has quickly grown into a multi-program organization serving youth, families, and elders through culturally responsive initiatives.

WHAT WE DO
Our Mission and Initiatives
The Cambodian Legacy Project preserves and celebrates Cambodian heritage while empowering Asian-Americans to thrive across generations. Through education, community, and the arts, we aim to foster pride, belonging, and cultural awareness. We create opportunities for intergenerational learning to bridge the gap between generations and strengthen family connections.
