About The Event
The Khmer Language & Literacy Program preserves the Cambodian language through traditional instruction in reading, writing, and pronunciation. Taught by Monk Penh at the Khmer Buddhist Temple, students learn the Khmer alphabet, proper pronunciation, foundational vocabulary, and writing skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Cambodian culture, values, and traditions. This program helps preserve an important part of Cambodian heritage by ensuring that future generations can read, write, and connect with the language of their ancestors.
